The NetworK’s future lies primarily in the field of “art and moving images”, this might be experimental film or videoart or other forms how moving images are used in contemporary art.
Until the end of 2010, The Network will close the doors to a couple of platforms, which will be not continued in 2011.
In July, Cinematheque http://cinema.nmartproject.net
starts. This platform for streaming media exhibitions is already complete and will remain for permanent as a museum and media art project online for permanent.
In September, SoundLAB - http://soundlab.newmediafest.org - will release its 7th edition of sonic art, after SoundlAB started in 2004. Complerted this way, also Soundlab will remain after 2010, as a museum and a media art project itself online for permanent.
Until 31.December 2010, Celebrate! - the netart features 2010 on JavaMuseum will finalize JavaMuseum - Forum for internet Technology in Contemporary Art - an an active environment, and will remain online for permanent, as well, as a museum and media art project itself.

At the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011, there will be no special announcements, but these essential components of The Network will simply expire and be no longer continued.

curated and directed by Shankar Barua who is accompanying the development of The Network since its early days was celebrating the 10th annversary of The Network by presenting the entire program of CologneOFF V - 5th Cologne International Videofestival between 19 and 21 February 2010
On 2 February 2010, a new dimension of The Network started when Wilfried Agricola de Cologne signed a contract for the first physical space provided by CC Alte Feuerwache, a cultural center in heart of the city of Cologne. The new groupe running the space is named “artvideoKOELN” the physical dependance of the famous online platform.
The new dimension will continue when on 6 May 2010, artvideoKOELN will launch “SFC - Shoah Film Collection” as the physical world premiere.
The Program
In 2010, The Network is celebrating its 10th anniversary, JavaMuseum - Forum for Internet Technology in Contemporary Art will be celebrating its 10th anniversary, as well, as CologneOFF - Cologne Online Film Festival its 5th anniversary.
Thus, there are good reasons to spotlight 10 years of networked culture
by organising NewMediaFest’2010 - 10 Years [NewMediaArtProjectNetwork]:||cologne - global heritage of digital culture.
The festival site will be launched on 1 January 2010 as a nearly empty page and will be filled by countless smaller and bigger projects perceiveable in virtual and physical space until NewmediaFest’2010 will be completed on 31 December 2010.
All activities of The Network during 2010 will be coordinated in NewMediaFest’2010, and therefore all information concering these activities will be provided and displayed on the festival site - http://2010.newmediafest.org
