Busho - Budapest Short Film Festival
1-5 September 2010 - Budapest/Hungary

BuSho (Budapest Short) was established in the autumn of 2004 by a group of young Hungarian filmmakers and the first event successfully ran its course the following year. The festival became an international breakthrough in an exceptionally short period of time. We included plenty of festival screenings, selections of film academies, feature films, conferences, film-, and all-art workshops in the program. Our main target group is the generation of developing young filmmakers but we are very delighted at every entry. The next event is going to take place in Budapest in the late summer of 2010. Last years’ brilliant performances influence us to open more possibilities for this year’s productions for an enthusiastic audience. Leaders and creators of filmmaking workshops from any countries are invited. Our aim is to provide a special atmosphere where participants can meet and share other nations’ values and differences through their works. Besides the competition, we have a show that presents the winning productions of different Film Festivals. Also we are organizing a conference about young European filmmakers’ situation and their possibilities of cooperation. In the early years of joining the European Union it is a chance for the member countries to cooperate and establish the alternative interests and values of the filmmaking communities.

You can enter in three categories: fiction, animation and experimental.
Duration: maximum 30 minutes!
Submitted films should be produced not earlier than 1 January 2007!

Every film enters the festival FREE OF CHARGE!

- a copy of the film on DVD for the pre-jury AND on mini DV for the screening!
Technical details: 720×576 DV.PAL 48kHz 16bit stereo
- entry form filled online then printed, signed and sent with the film till the deadline.
- all films must have English subtitles: subtitles included (burned in / not optional)
