Some information about Jeune Création

Jeune Création is an association of artists run by a board of exhibiting artists who are elected during the Annual General Meeting and who volunteer their time. Those artists constitute the jury of one year.

Jury Création exhibits each year in Paris the works of around 100 young contemporary artists (less than 45 years old) and it renews a large part of its exhibitors.

The fee to each selected artist will be 85 euros (not including the 10 euros). This fee constitutes a contribution (12%) to the cost of running such an exhibition.

Jeune Création publishes a color’s catalogue in which all artists are represented with a double page showing their works and adress. An issue is given free of charge to each exhibitor.

The prize “Jeune Création”, a award of 3000 euros, is given out by a jury composed of renowned artists, galleries, institutions and art critics.

Each exhibitor takes advantage of a thought-out hanging, publicity of the show in the medias, the services of a selling point, and a follow up of all contacts with persons interested in his/her work.

Outside of the exhibition, other events are put together by members of the board if they want to initiate them (video programming, exhibitions in the Jeune Creation’s gallery and so on).

Each exhibiting artist can be a member of the board, if elected, and therefore bring into the group his or her ideas and enthusiasm. Jeune Création is what artists want to make of it!

Notes
If you are selected, some of your documents will be kept until the end of the exhibition in order to be presented to the press, the galleries and the other organizations interested in your work. Other documents will be requuested later.
