RECEIVER Time Based Media Festival

Receiver defines Time Based Media as any work of art that requires time for the maturation or completion of the art experience for its viewer.

For the festival, Receiver will be programming several art events that will range in scale and complexity. Events will range from simple projects at intimate locations to one six weeklong exhibition with an opening reception to kick off the festival at Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston SC. The official Redux exhibition dates are March 10th to April 23rd 2011. This exhibition comes with a $2000 honorarium for an individual or a group of artists. Participating artist(s) are responsible for all installation, travel, lodging, food and shipping expenses associated with this exhibition as well as other Receiver festival events. Receiver cannot provide honorariums for all artist participants.

Artists and performers may email their URL to their website or submit a CD with a QuickTime video or a DVD. Each disc submission must be edited to a maximum of 5 minutes in length to be considered by the jury. There is no limit to how many works one artist may submit. All submissions must be MAC formatted and ready to play.
Please pay a one-time fee of $15.00 per artist (Additional entries are free of charge) Use PayPal or send check or money order made out to Redux Contemporary Art Center along with your submission to the address below.

The postmark deadline for submissions is AUGUST 16th, 2010.
Late submissions will not be viewed.
Receiver will not be responsible for lost or damaged applications. Selected artist will be contacted via email by September 16th 2010
